Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist with experience in providing high-quality respiratory care to patients. This position requires flexibility and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, ensuring optimal respiratory function.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care practices and techniques.
• Participate in departmental quality assurance and improvement initiatives.

Schedule

This position is for night shifts, comprising 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). The therapist will be required to work every other weekend and every other holiday.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience preferred; candidates with 2+ years of experience will also be considered.
• Advanced Critical Care Specialty (ACCS) certification preferred.
• A Virginia state license is required, with the possibility of offering provisional employment pending the acquisition of temporary licensing.
• An active license from another state is required to be eligible for temporary licensure.
