Position Overview

This position involves working on a locked incarcerated unit within a medical facility. Nurses must be comfortable providing care to the prison population.

Responsibilities

• Float to various units as required, including Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Forensics, and potentially ICU.
• Provide high-quality patient care while ensuring safety and adherence to protocols.
• Participate in holiday rotations, covering three out of six major holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas.
• Coordinate with peers for schedule swaps when necessary to accommodate personal preferences.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, NIH, and CPI (with MAB accepted in lieu of CPI).
• First-time travelers are welcome; local candidates are also encouraged to apply.

Schedule

This position typically requires a night shift consisting of three 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00).

Contract Details

• All contracts should be expected to extend into the New Year to ensure adequate holiday coverage.
• RTO will not be approved for major holidays starting in September.
