The Registered Nurse (RN) position is essential in providing high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical environment. The role involves working closely with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Education & Certifications

• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS (advanced life support) required; PALS (pediatric advanced life support) preferred
• Education Modules: LMS modules assigned as per facility requirements

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 45
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 on days; 1:6 on nights
• Equipment: Includes Plum pumps, Pyxis, Ascom phones, bladder scanner, EKG machine, Phillips Cardiac Monitor
• EMR: EPIC

Qualifications

• Must Have Skills/Experience: Patient-focused, organized, proficient in BLS, ACLS, IV skills, telemetry monitoring, and required documentation
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: PALS certification preferred, but not required
• Type of Patients on Unit: Medical surgical patients including orthopedic, general surgery, urology; common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, pneumonia; ability to care for pediatric patients with PALS certification preferred but not mandatory for travelers
• Personality Fit: Must be a positive, professional team player

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Any solid color scrub, clean and in good repair; no prints allowed
• Unacceptable Attire: Hoodies and footwear with holes or open toes are not permitted
