We are seeking a dedicated Scrub Tech to join our surgical team. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and safety, with an emphasis on orthopedic surgical experience.

Scheduled Hours

The position consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, with a requirement for rotating call, including holiday coverage.

Essential Duties

• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate clinical competence in surgical technical skills across various departments, including Sterile Processing, Endoscopy, and Materials Management.
• Maintain a superior sterile conscience and consistent sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Effectively communicate any breaks in sterile technique to the circulating RN and surgeons.
• Ensure all necessary equipment is prepared and available prior to the start of each surgical case.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating electro-surgical, diagnostic, video equipment, and specialty equipment relevant to each procedure.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of three years of experience in a surgical environment, specifically with orthopedic procedures.
• Current CPR certification is a requirement.
• Certification as an OR Surgical Technician is mandatory.
