Description
We are seeking a skilled Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of Endoscopy RN experience and must be prepared to handle a variety of responsibilities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Shift Information
- Shift: Days
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Work Hours: 10-hour shifts starting at 6:30 AM
- Weekends covered by call rotation
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in performing 10-20 procedures per day (75% outpatient, 25% inpatient).
- Support Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) three times per week, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative responsibilities.
- Float to preoperative areas on days without GI cases or when overstaffed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Endoscopy RN experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
- Must pass the ECG competency exam on the first day of employment (pass/fail, one attempt).
- Strong IV skills are essential.
On-Call Requirements
- Weekday call begins at the end of the scheduled shift and runs until 7:00 AM.
- Weekdays with no scheduled cases will convert to on-call days.
- Typical weekday call commitment is approximately 3-4 times per week.
- Weekend and holiday call commitments are for 24-hour blocks (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM), with an average of about 4 weekends per 6-week rotation.
Unit Details
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR): EPIC and Provation.
- Team members are provided with maroon scrubs on the unit.
