Position Overview

The Respiratory Therapist will provide support and care for patients requiring respiratory support. This position requires a commitment to working night shifts with a schedule of 3 twelve-hour shifts per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions to patients.
• Monitor and assess patient response to treatments.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment usage.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Work Schedule

This position includes night shifts and requires working every other weekend and every other holiday. Additionally, the candidate must be available to work two out of three winter holidays, with no time-off requests approved around Christmas.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in respiratory therapy required; candidates with 2+ years of experience will be considered.
• Active RRT certification and BLS certification are required.
• ACCS certification is preferred.
• Candidates must have a valid state license; submission is open to those with a pending Virginia license, provided they can obtain a temporary license prior to starting.

Shift Information

The Respiratory Therapist will work during the night shift, specifically on a 3x12-hour schedule from 19:00 to 07:00.
