We are seeking experienced Respiratory Therapists to join our team in a challenging and rewarding role in the NICU setting. The position involves working with critically ill infants and requires specialized knowledge and skills to provide high-quality respiratory care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced respiratory care to neonates and pediatric patients, particularly in a Level 4 NICU environment.
• Implement and monitor respiratory therapy treatments, including but not limited to mechanical ventilation and airway management.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust patient care plans.
• Participate in clinical rounds and provide expertise on respiratory issues affecting neonates.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques and therapies.

Work Schedule:

• Contract lengths of 13 weeks or 26 weeks available, with September start dates.
• Full-time scheduling options of 36 or 48 hours weekly.
• Must work every other weekend and every other holiday, with a requirement to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays.
• Self-scheduling model is in place; management will provide further details during orientation.

Qualifications:

• Must have Level 4 NICU experience.
• Cardiac PICU experience is preferred.
• Current certifications required: RRT, BLS, and NRP.
• ACCS certification is preferred.
• Ability to submit with a pending Virginia license, provided a temporary license can be obtained prior to starting. Another state license is also required to be eligible for a temporary license.
