Description

Respiratory Therapist (RRT-NICU)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist with NICU experience to join our team in a children's health setting. The position involves providing critical respiratory care and support to patients in a Level 4 NICU environment.

Contract Details

  • Contract lengths available: 13 weeks or 26 weeks
  • Day shifts available: 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00)
  • Hours offered: 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Self-scheduling model in place; schedule preferences will be accommodated as much as possible
  • Mandatory weekend and holiday shifts: every other weekend and every other holiday
  • Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized respiratory care for neonates and young children
  • Administer therapies and treatments as designated by clinical protocols
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes
  • Educate families and caregivers on respiratory health and wellness

Qualifications

  • Mandatory Level 4 NICU experience
  • Cardiac PICU experience is preferred
  • RRT certification required
  • BLS and NRP certifications required
  • ACCS certification preferred
  • Must have an active state license; can submit with pending VA license if able to obtain a temporary license before start
