Unit Overview

Join a dynamic 26-bed Acute Care Unit that serves a diverse patient population, with a primary focus on General Surgery and Trauma cases. The unit predominantly supports post-surgical patients, who constitute 90% of our patient demographic, while the remaining 10% are patients with medical diagnoses. All patient rooms are equipped for advanced monitoring, including cardiac monitoring, capnography or end-tidal CO2 monitoring, and continuous pulse oximetry.

Position Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shifts, working three 12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00)
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday participation required
• Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays
• Flexibility to approve 40 hours for time off

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license with the ability to submit for pending Virginia licensure
• Epic experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications preferred, though not mandatory
