Unit Overview

This position is within a 26-bed Acute Care Unit, primarily serving a diverse patient population related to General Surgery and Trauma. The majority of patients (90%) will be post-surgical, with the remaining 10% having medical diagnoses. All rooms are equipped for advanced monitoring, including cardiac, capnography or end-tidal CO2, and continuous pulse oximetry.

Shift Information

• Schedule: 3x12-Hour Shifts (07:00 - 19:00)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekends: Every other weekend
• Holidays: Every other holiday, with a requirement to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
• Time Off: 40 hours may be approved for time off

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications are preferred, but not required
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system is mandatory
• Candidates must be able to adhere to floating policies within the unit
• Application may be accepted with Virginia nursing license pending
