Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse in Emergency Medicine to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric populations in emergency situations.
- Perform assessments, administer medications, and provide treatment as per established protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition promptly.
- Document patient information accurately and timely using electronic health records.
Shift Information
This position requires the willingness to work evening and night shifts, consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week. Shifts are from 15:00 to 03:30 and 19:00 to 07:30, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Two (2) years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience with both adult and pediatric patients.
- Proficient in using Epic electronic health record system.
- Current Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) are mandatory.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is required.
- Ability to pass a telemetry test prior to starting the position.
