We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of current experience. The ideal candidate will show proficiency in managing both invasive and non-invasive ventilation, drawing arterial blood gases (ABGs), and airway management.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment for diagnosing and treating respiratory diseases under the supervision of the Technical Director of Respiratory Therapy.
• Work independently and efficiently to resolve varying degrees of challenges in patient care areas.
• Assist in airway management tasks such as intubations and perform pulmonary function tests (PFTs) as required.
• Willingness to learn new skills including home sleep testing and pulmonary rehabilitation.

Patient Population

Pediatric to geriatric patients.

Work Environment

This position requires working three 12-hour shifts on weekends (Friday to Sunday), totaling 36 hours weekly. Holiday work may be required during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's weekend.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Valid state license in Vermont.
• Documentation of work history and a skills checklist for Registered Respiratory Therapy current to one year.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least 6 months of previous travel experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records is required.
• Must have a personal vehicle for transportation needs.

Compliance

All requested time off (RTO) must be included at the time of application, and is limited to a maximum of 5 days. Call-offs must be communicated to the supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance; exceeding 3 call-offs may lead to contract termination.
