MS/Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced MS/Tele Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment while adapting to the needs of the unit.

Shift Information

Shifts: 3x12 hours, Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Patient Ratios: 1:5
Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend

Job Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate and effective patient care in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, initiating appropriate interventions as needed.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Document patient progress and care plan updates using electronic health records.
Participate in on-call assignments as directed, though they are rare.
May be required to float to similar units if necessary.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry nursing required.
Current RN license valid in South Carolina or Multistate/Compact RN license is necessary.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred.
Epic experience is required.

Additional Information

Block scheduling accommodations may be available upon managerial approval based on unit needs.
Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application and will be approved based on facility needs.
Guaranteed hours policy allows for one shift cancellation every two weeks.

Work Environment

This position is based in an acute care hospital with a total of 304 staffed beds, utilizing Epic for charting and electronic documentation.

Travel Considerations

Travelers should be aware of potential emergency response team assignments during hurricane season, which runs from June through November.

The designated scrub color for this position is Royal Blue.
