Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our Oncology Department. The role requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care while utilizing advanced radiation therapy technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer radiation treatments in accordance with prescribed therapy plans.
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including Varian TrueBeam and IX systems.
• Utilize Aria software for patient management and treatment documentation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment processes and expectations.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Radiation Therapy License required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in radiation therapy.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Proficient in general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Must maintain all necessary registries and licenses in compliance with state and federal laws.

Shift Details

• Day Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• 8-hour shifts
• Position duration: 13 weeks
