Shift Details

Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours per week, for a total of 36 hours.

Shift Times: Start between 1300, 1500, or 1700; End between 0100, 0300, or 0500.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State or Compact RN Licensure.
• Active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
• Adherence to applicable policies and unit standards.
• Understanding of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and current nursing legal standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care with compassion, utilizing the nursing process and unit-specific standards.
• Develop, implement, and continually assess individualized patient care plans.
• Administer medications and perform nursing procedures and treatments.
• Evaluate discharge plans for suitability, educational needs, and necessary adjustments.
• Document care provided, assessments, plans, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
• Collect necessary patient information to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Conduct holistic, ongoing assessments of patient status and respond accordingly.
• Determine and execute appropriate nursing actions to meet patients’ physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs.
• Educate patients and their families/significant others on relevant health information promptly, providing written materials when applicable.
• Maintain current knowledge of workflows, processes, and evidence-based practices.
• Delegate appropriately and supervise care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Engage in performance evaluation and improvement processes with management.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with established policies.

Additional Requirements

May be required to float to different units as needed and assist as a sitter. Rotation between locations may be necessary.
