- Hours: 0630 - 1900
Qualifications
- Active WA State or Compact RN Licensure required
- Experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Adheres to established policies and unit standards
- Functions within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards
Job Functions
- Coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care with compassion, following the nursing process and unit standards
- Develop, implement, and continuously reassess individualized patient care plans
- Provide nursing care including medication administration and completion of procedures and treatments
- Evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness, assessing educational needs and modifications as necessary
- Document care provided, assessments, care plans, interventions, and patient responses accurately
- Collect essential patient information to ensure safe, high-quality care
- Conduct holistic ongoing assessments of patient conditions and respond appropriately
- Determine and execute appropriate nursing actions to meet physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs
- Educate patients, families, and significant others with relevant health information and provide written materials
- Maintain current knowledge of workflows, processes, and evidence-based procedures
- Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise non-licensed assistive personnel
- Participate in performance evaluation and improvement processes
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff, complying with hospital and unit policies
Additional Responsibilities
- Float as a sitter in rotation when required
- Be available to take call as necessary
