Position Overview

The Cath Lab Tech plays a crucial role in the efficient and safe delivery of cardiac care. This position involves working closely with a team of healthcare professionals to assist in various diagnostic and interventional procedures within the cardiac catheterization laboratory.

Shift Information

• Schedule: 4x10 hours Day Shifts (07:00 - 17:30), with variations based on procedure completion.
• Daily Caseload: Manage 4 to 5 labs daily, averaging 20-25 cases per day.
• On-call Requirements: Required for one weekend every seven weeks, in addition to an evening shift weekly. These requirements may vary based on staffing needs.
• Holidays: Availability for work during holidays as needed.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience required.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• National Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process).
• Must possess a South Carolina state license (SCRQSA).
• Radiation Badge: Must be provided by the agency; not supplied by the facility.
• Proficient in coronary diagnostic and interventional scrub and monitoring.

Miscellaneous Information

• Open to accommodating block scheduling upon manager's approval and based on unit needs.
• Local professionals may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application.
• The facility allows for a maximum of one shift to be called off every two weeks, with the possibility of broken down hours.
