Shift Information

We currently operate from 0645 to 2315, and shifts may vary based on departmental needs. Applicants will be scheduled for 40 hours per week, with a potential reduction to 32 hours during holidays.

Call Requirement

Call coverage is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All staff will be assigned on-call duties, averaging 1-2 times per week, plus up to 2 weekends each month. A 20-minute call back time is expected.

Holiday Coverage

Holiday coverage is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting.
• General Certifications (BLS/BCLS) are required.
• A valid State of Hawaii license is necessary before the start of the assignment for travelers without an active license.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with turnover cleaning of surgical areas.
• Transport patients as needed.
• Independently scrub the following types of procedures:
• General
• Orthopedic
• Vascular
• Ophthalmic
• Urology
• ENT
• Endoscopy
• Robotic
• Obstetrics
• Gynecology

Work Environment

We operate a small yet busy and efficient operating room with 1-2 outpatient GI labs and typically 1-2 surgical rooms running simultaneously.

Dress Code

Scrubs will be provided for this position.

Orientation

The selected applicant will undergo orientation during day shifts for up to one week, or as determined by management discretion.

Contractual Expectations

Travelers must complete a minimum of 39 shifts during the contract duration if any requested time off is approved.
