Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience and at least 1 prior travel assignment. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, providing critical care to patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Perform IV starts and phlebotomy as required.
• Care for an average of 150 patient visits per day.
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Prior travel experience in a nursing role is mandatory.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS.
• Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, TNCC.

Skills

• Required skills: IV starts, phlebotomy.
• Preferred skills: Experience with Cerner, charge nurse duties, triage, and precepting.

Additional Information

• Staff will receive training on the unit before being expected to take on charge nurse responsibilities.
• Scrubs are not provided; navy blue is the required color.
• Potential exposure to COVID-19 patients; adherence to safety protocols is essential.
• Flu vaccination is mandatory for all employees.

Shift Details

This position requires working the night shift, specifically 3 twelve-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.
