Role Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care with a focus on intensive medical end-of-life support.
• Act as a teacher for patients and family members, assisting them in identifying personal goals of care.
• Provide guidance and reassurance to caregivers to foster confidence in their roles.
• Utilize strong assessment and critical thinking skills to manage symptoms across various diseases.
• Offer comprehensive physical, emotional, social, and spiritual support tailored to individual patient needs.

Work Environment

The Hospice In-Patient Unit provides short-term care in a comforting, home-like environment. You will work as part of a dedicated team that prioritizes personalized care, allowing friends and family to be present during difficult times.

Shift Information

This full-time position requires three 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a rotating schedule. Holiday coverage is also required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage symptoms effectively.
• Excellent communication abilities to support and educate patients and families.

Orientation

New hires will undergo a comprehensive orientation process lasting three days, 8 AM to 5 PM, before transitioning to the night shift schedule.
