Radiology Technologist Dual-Modality (XR/CT)

This position is located in Big Sky, MT.

Position Summary

The Dual-modality Radiology Technologist delivers high-quality CT and X-Ray examinations to assist in diagnosis or treatment. This role independently performs CT and X-Ray procedures, producing images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. The position supports both outpatient and inpatient settings and requires a variable schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent, with documented competencies in Radiology and CT.
  • Montana Licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) advanced certification in CT.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Two (2) years of previous radiology experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in healthcare-related studies.

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform quality CT and X-Ray/fluoroscopic exams and procedures as requested by medical staff.
  • Operate with limited supervision while maintaining high attention to detail and customer needs.
  • Assist medical staff in other departments during exams and procedures as necessary.
  • Perform ancillary duties related to the distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.
  • Complete documentation necessary for the interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
  • Retrieve written orders and relevant health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of exams.

  • Exercise tact, discretion, and sensitivity while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Perform essential job functions successfully in busy and stressful environments.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.

Schedule Requirements

This role requires regular and sustained attendance, with the potential for working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.

  • Lifting (Repeatedly – 50 pounds): Ability to exert force to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.
  • Sitting (Occasionally): Maintain a sitting posture for extended periods.
  • Standing (Repeatedly): Maintain a standing posture for extended periods.
  • Walking (Repeatedly): Move around within the work area requiring good balance and coordination.
  • Climbing (Rarely): Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or similar structures.
  • Twisting/Bending/Stooping/Kneeling (Repeatedly): Requires flexibility and a wide range of motion.
  • Reaching Above Shoulder Level (Repeatedly): Necessary for lifting and carrying objects above shoulder height.
  • Pushing/Pulling (Repeatedly): Utilize upper extremities to exert force against objects.
  • Fine Finger Movements (Continuously): Engage in tasks requiring manual dexterity.
  • Vision (Continuously): Maintain close visual acuity for data analysis and reading.
  • Cognitive Skills (Continuously): Learn new tasks, remember processes, and make timely decisions.
  • Exposure: Handle bloodborne pathogens and chemicals related to healthcare settings.
