Shift and Schedule

This position primarily involves night shifts with a schedule of 3 three-day shifts from 1900 to 0730. Weekend coverage is required on an alternating basis and may vary based on the facility's needs. Flexibility is essential, as floating to different facilities may be necessary depending on patient census and operational requirements.

Patient Population

Care will be provided predominantly to adults and geriatric patients with a variety of medical conditions. The unit typically caters to individuals dealing with general medical surgical issues, respiratory diseases, infections, dementia, and neurological disorders. Teamwork and a supportive work environment are emphasized, with a charge RN available on each shift to oversee operations and facilitate workflow.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a relevant field.
• Current South Carolina RN license.
• Compentencies in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing, including the ability to pass an EKG exam.
• Documentation experience with EPIC (minimum of 1 year required).
• Knowledge of medication administration using Omnicell systems.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.

Special Requirements

Travelers will be required to float to different units as needed, thus maintaining versatility in skills and readiness for various patient care scenarios is essential.
