Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist with a comprehensive background in various surgical specialties, including orthopedic, neurological, and vascular procedures. Candidates who do not possess a broad range of current experience will not be considered for this position.

Work Schedule

The Surgical Technologist will work a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, with the option of either four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts. Start and end times are negotiable and will be finalized during the interview process. The position includes approximately one weekend on-call duty every five weeks, with an estimated 1-2 calls per week. Additional call responsibilities may arise based on departmental needs and staffing variations.

On-Call Requirements

All on-call duties require a response time of 30 minutes from the time of the call to arrival on-site. Holiday call coverage may also be required, depending on patient census and staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Current BLS certification required.
• CST certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in surgical technology.
• Strong critical thinking skills and extensive knowledge of central processing and instrumentation.
• Preference will be given to candidates with minimal requests for time off.
