Job Description
We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and demonstrate expertise in operating GE equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans safely and accurately, ensuring high-quality imaging for approximately 9 patients per shift.
- Collaborate with another MRI Technologist or Tech Aide while providing patient care, as solo work is not permitted.
- Cover on-call duties as needed, particularly during late-night hours.
- Participate in departmental orientation for new staff and assist in training as necessary.
Shift and Scheduling Information
This position requires two 16-hour shifts on weekends, specifically Saturday and Sunday from 7 AM to 11:30 PM. Availability for part of shift and holiday coverage is required.
Weekend and Holiday Requirements
- MUST work during two designated holiday blocks, which include:
- Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the weekend after
- New Year’s Eve through New Year’s Day and the weekend after
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of current MRI experience.
- ARRT (MR) Certification is required.
- Experience with GE HDXT 16.0 and 23.0 equipment is required.
- Meditech Expanse experience is highly preferred.
- Must be willing to work weekends and evenings, and be available for call as needed.
- A current vehicle for transportation is required.
