We are seeking a skilled and dedicated ICU Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical care skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Overview

• Department: ICU
• Number of Beds: 10
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2

Shift Details

• Shift Length: 12 hours (7 PM - 7 AM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
• Weekend Requirements: As needed; typically every other weekend
• Holiday Requirements: Based on unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse patient population including those with heart failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, and post-surgical complications.
• Titrate intravenous drips as required, including but not limited to Propofol, Levophed, Dobutamine, Vasopressin, Fentanyl, Epinephrine, and Diltiazem.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Hospitalists and Intensivists available via telehealth.
• Utilize vital respiratory care equipment, such as vents, High Flow, and BiPAP, while working with Respiratory Therapists who are on-site 24/7.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips and monitor patient vitals effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in ICU nursing.
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS.
• Must be a good team player and work well in a collaborative environment.
• Experience with CRRT preferred but not mandatory for all applicants.

Additional Information

• Orientation: 1 to 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation, based on experience.
• Floating: May be required to float to Telemetry or other local ICUs, ensuring a supportive nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any clean and professional color is acceptable.
