Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatric cardiac care and be prepared to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and perform necessary interventions.
  • Assist in the management of patients requiring advanced life support and other complex needs.
  • Float to the NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics as required based on staffing needs.

Shift Details

  • Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
  • Three weekends per six-week schedule
  • Time off requests may be approved up to 40 hours; however, requests will not be accepted during the first two weeks of the contract.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid RN license.
  • BLS and PALS certification are required.
  • Pediatric cardiac experience is preferred.
  • Ability to float to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics based on staffing requirements.
  • Can submit with RN license pending.
