Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

Job Summary

An opportunity is available for a skilled Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech with strong experience in orthopedic, neurosurgical, and general surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in all three areas and have a strong commitment to surgical excellence and patient care.

Scheduling Details

Shift Hours: 3x12s, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
On Call Requirement: None
Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday during a 13-week contract
Requests for Time Off (RTO) and Special Scheduling Requests: All requests must be included in the submission

Required Qualifications

Current BLS certification
National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification, National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) certification, or equivalent military OR Tech certification accepted
VA state license required (or must obtain; a 90-day authorization will be granted to allow work during the licensing process)

Clinical Skills Required

Strong experience in general surgery, orthopedic surgery (particularly total joints), and neurosurgery
Experience with complex procedures such as big belly CRANI, orthopedic trauma, and robotic surgeries is highly preferred

Unit Details

Patient Population: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
Level I trauma operating room with multiple OR suites; 24/7 nursing coverage available
Specialties include general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, gynecology, oncology, robotics, ENT, ophthalmology, pediatrics, and sports medicine
Special Equipment: ROSA, Si and Xi da Vinci robots, Stealth navigation system, O-Arm, HIPEC
