Position Information
- Role: RN
- Specialty: Medical Telemetry, IMC
- Number of Openings: Multiple
- Shift: Day and Night (Weekends)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: 36 (unless otherwise noted)
- Call Requirements: None
- Years of Experience: 1-2 minimum
- Float Requirements: IMC RNs may float to other IMC units and med/surg units as needed.
Education & Certifications Required
- Certifications: BLS
- Education Modules: Mandatory onboarding education
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 43
- Patient Ratios:
- Day Shift Med/Surg: 1:4-5
- Night Shift Med/Surg: 1:5-6
- Day and Night IMC: 3:1
- Equipment:
- Ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP for IMC patients
- CPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-Rebreather, Epidural pumps, IV pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, Trach care/maintenance for both IMC and Med Tele patients
- EMR: Epic
Hiring Profile
- Must Have Skills/Experience:
- Ventilator experience for IMC RNs
- Experience with tracheostomy care
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
- Preferred Skill Set/Experience: Experience in a telemetry setting
- Type of Patients: Critical respiratory, medical telemetry, surgical patients, cases of sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis, altered mental status, and acute-on-chronic medical conditions.
- Personality Fit: Team-oriented, flexible, strong communicator, focused on patient-centered care
