Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care through the nursing process which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN will direct and coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaboration with other professional disciplines is essential to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Provide direct nursing care to patients, ensuring adherence to established standards of practice.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, making necessary adjustments to care plans as needed.
• Assist in various tasks such as vital signs monitoring, IV placement, and answering patient inquiries when needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• American Heart Association ACLS certification is required.
• Excellent technical, interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills are essential.

Additional Information

Registered Nurses may be asked to assist in other units as needed, providing additional support as an extra set of hands for various tasks without taking on a formal assignment.
