Job Description

A dynamic opportunity for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing. This position requires dedication to patient care and the ability to manage a diverse patient population effectively.

Schedule

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• 48-hour guaranteed schedule
• Every other weekend and holidays may be required, depending on need

Orientation

New hires will undergo 8 hours of non-billable orientation.

Unit Information

• Unit size ranges from 20 to 34 beds, depending on the specific unit
• Typical patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6
• Travelers must be willing to float to any Medical-Surgical unit as needed
• Block scheduling is not offered

Dress Code

Personal scrubs of any color are permitted.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Medical-Surgical and Telemetry setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and develop care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current Medical-Surgical nursing experience required.
• Telemetry experience is necessary.
• Completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia course is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications must be current and available at the time of application.
• Applicants must have their own vehicle for transportation to and from work.
• A permanent address must be included in the application profile.
