Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Dialysis Registered Nurse to join our Outpatient Dialysis Unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dialysis nursing, demonstrating the ability to provide exceptional patient care while working with interdisciplinary teams and equipment.

Shift Information

This position requires 12-hour shifts, three days a week, including every other Saturday. The unit is closed on Sundays, and the scheduled shifts will generally be from 0500 to 1730.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments before, during, and after dialysis treatments.
• Perform dialysis treatments in an outpatient setting.
• Complete interdisciplinary assessments and create care plans.
• Utilize B Braun Dialysis Machines and ensure proper operation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2.5 years of recent experience in dialysis nursing.
• Experience in an outpatient clinic for dialysis is required.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association is a must.
• Valid RN license in North Dakota or a compact RN license.
• CNN or CDN certification is highly desired, but not required.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records is preferred; please specify on your resume.

Unit Information

The unit is a 32-station dialysis facility with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, supported by a float nurse or charge nurse as needed. Orientation and training will be provided, including a detailed overview of department protocols, medication administration, and equipment operation.
