Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute hospital setting
• Experience as a full-time sonographer for at least 3 years
• Certifications Required:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
  • Allied Health Certifications:
    • ARDMS (Obstetrics and Gynecology - OB)
    • ARDMS (Abdomen - AB)
    • ARDMS (Vascular Technology - RVT)

General Job Duties

The Ultrasonographer will perform various ultrasound procedures and must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

• Abdominal ultrasound (Aorta, IVC, Liver/Biliary, Pancreas, Spleen, Renal - both normal and pathology)
• Gynecological ultrasound (Breast, Ovaries, Adnexa, Uterus, Pelvis - normal pathology, post-menopausal, transvaginal, adult, and pediatric)
• Obstetric ultrasound (1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester, amniocentesis, complications, biophysical profile, gestational age, placental grading, abnormalities, IUGR, Uterus/Adnexa)
• Procedures including aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative assessments
• Neonatal ultrasound (congenital anomalies and neonatal head)
• Assessment of superficial structures (Abdominal wall, Breast, Focal masses, Hematoma, Scrotum & Testes, Thyroid)
• Vascular ultrasound (Carotid duplex, Segmental pressure studies, Upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex)

Additional Requirements

No time-off requests (RTO) will be granted during the first 13 weeks of the contract. The position requires the Ultrasonographer to work 40-hour shifts and may involve floating to other units/departments as needed. Personal scrubs and healthcare professional attire are required for this role.
