Job Summary

The competent Nurse in a clinical setting practices independently and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. This role involves providing both routine and complex care while managing longer-term goals and plans. The Nurse will continue to develop the ability to cope with and manage various clinical contingencies, making appropriate assignments and delegating tasks to other care providers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Meet the expectations of the applicable competencies, demonstrating leadership skills.
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families in alignment with professional practice standards.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers, identifying relevant issues and resources.

Requirements

Education/Skills

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• BLS certification required.
• Current RN License in the state of employment or a compact state is required.

Work Schedule

Shifts are from 7 AM to 7 PM. This position requires working every other weekend.

Dress Code

Required dress code includes ceil blue scrubs.
