2 years of nursing experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered.

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements

This role is located in a 42-bed unit primarily serving post-surgical patients, including:

• Orthopedic patients
• Urology patients
• Colorectal patients
• Bariatric patients
• Neurology patients
• General surgery patients

Staffing Ratio

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6, with a total of 42 rooms in the unit.

• Epic (required)
• Pyxis
• SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation)

Uniform Requirements

Scrub color: Navy Blue

Requested Time Off (RTO)

Maximum RTO is 7 days. Please note that there are blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th).

Weekend Requirements

Every other weekend is required unless specified otherwise.

Floating and Call Requirements

Travelers may be required to float within the facility and within their scope of practice as needed. Call requirements are not specified for this position.

Holiday Requirements

If a major holiday occurs during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work that holiday. The following are considered major holidays:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day

Compliance

Full compliance is required to start on time. If compliance is not achieved in time, there will be a two-week delay due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Aya Offer Information

Once a candidate signs and confirmation is sent, the manager will have 48 hours to review the profile and determine if the unit and schedule are a fit. The Aya offer is only available if the candidate passes the clinical requirements within RTO guidelines and meets specific facility requirements.

Local Candidates

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers.

Orientation Hours

The number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) hours is determined by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 19 hours for a 19-week assignment).

Shift Information

This position requires night shifts consisting of 3 twelve-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00) without block scheduling.
