We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency room. This role requires a deep commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Position Details

• Shift: Night 3x12 (19:00 - 07:30)
• Schedule: Block schedules available
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, with possibility to extend up to 20 weeks based on experience
• Patient Population: All age ranges from infants to geriatrics

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department
• Assess and prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced environment
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document all care provided accurately in electronic health records
• Participate in department initiatives to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
• 2 years of emergency room experience preferred; less experience considered with a strong skill set
• First-time travelers welcome

Work Environment

• Average Daily Census: 130 patients
• Number of Beds: 47
• Patient-To-Nurse Ratio: 1:4

Additional Requirements

• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required as scheduled
• Floating within the specialty may be required
