Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Emergency Room care. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced, high-volume environment catering to patients of all age ranges, from infants to geriatrics.
Shift Details
- Night Shift: 3x12 or 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)
- Block scheduling is available
Contract Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension up to 20 weeks for candidates with strong experience
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room.
- Assess patients' conditions and develop care plans in conjunction with the healthcare team.
- Monitor and document patient progress and respond effectively to changes in their condition.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
- Participate in emergency procedures and protocols as required.
- Float within the specialty as needed to meet staffing needs.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, and CPI required.
- 2 years of Emergency Room experience preferred, but strong candidates with less experience may be considered.
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Work Schedule
- Required to work every other weekend.
- Holidays as scheduled.
Patient Care Environment
- Average Daily Census: 130
- Number of Beds: 47
- Staff-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4
