Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing radiographic procedures with minimal supervision, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timeliness essential for diagnosis by the radiologist and/or physician. This role requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative while maintaining quality consistent with established technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of technical procedures related to radiographic imaging.
• Operate imaging equipment pertaining to fluoroscopy, bone density, operating room (OR), pain clinic, orthopedics, emergency room (ER), and outpatient department.
• Maintain compliance with infection control procedures and universal precautions.
• Demonstrate independent judgment in performing technical procedures.
• Work under the direction of the Chief Technologist, Chief of Radiology, Radiation Safety Officer, and the Director of Radiology and Cardiology Services.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
• Licensure/Certifications: Current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License in Radiography.
• Current BLS/CPR certification is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Radiologic Technologist is preferred.
• Experience with EPIC software is required, as the institution is transitioning to EPIC in October.

Employees in this position may be exposed to blood and body fluids and are required to understand and follow universal precautions for infection control.

Local travelers are not accepted, and candidates must have been separated from any previous roles within the region for at least six months to be considered.
