Description

CVICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week contract. This position involves working night shifts and requires a strong background in cardiovascular intensive care.

Position Details

Start Date: 10/12/2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 hours (Nights, 19:30 - 08:00)

Patient Diagnoses

Cardiac Surgery: CABG, valve surgeries, CABG/valve combinations
Coronary Artery Disease: STEMI, NSTEMI, AFIB with RVR, cardiogenic shock
Vascular: Peripheral bypasses, EVAR
Thoracic: VATS procedures

Requirements

1 year of CVICU experience required; first-time travelers with strong experience (2+ years of CVICU/open heart experience) are accepted
Active RN license in the state of employment
Current ACLS and BLS certifications

Work Expectations

Every other weekend is required
Holidays will be required as scheduled
Floating may be required within the specialty, sister units, and lower-acuity areas as needed
