Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in a Stepdown unit with the potential to float to additional units, including J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department, to care for a similar patient population. This role offers an opportunity to provide high-quality nursing care in a dynamic environment.

Shift Information

• Rotating Day/Night shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Shifts may vary to meet the operational needs of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in a Stepdown unit.
• Monitor patients and respond to their needs effectively.
• Communicate clearly with healthcare team members regarding patient status.
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
• Work every other holiday as part of the scheduling requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of recent permanent experience in the specialty applying for; PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred.
• Valid and current Ohio Licensure or Compact State License is required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from AHA or American Red Cross are required.

Additional Information

Candidates will be required to complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and a safeMedicate assessment during orientation, achieving an acceptable score on both assessments is necessary for continued employment.
