Shift Information

12-hour Day Shift (0700-1900) with the flexibility to take other shifts as needed.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in the specialty applied for is required, and in some cases, more experience may be necessary.

Job Description

The Emergency Department consists of a 11-bed Main ED, a 6-bed ED Fast Track, and a 7-bed ED Observation Unit. All ED nurses are expected to rotate through these areas regularly. Nurses may also be assigned to Triage, Quick Registration, Covid Tent, and Entry Screening. Daily assignments may vary based on patient volume and departmental needs, which could include different areas of service at a minimum of once per shift. Additionally, nurses may assist with Covid testing and immunization clinics when required.

Shift Details

• Day Shift: 7a-7p with a maximum of one week of request time off (RTO), if needed.
• Shifts may change during the contract period, and staff may be required to cover day or mid shifts.
• Schedule typically follows a 7 on, 7 off rotational format, with a combination of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next.
• Traveling staff may occasionally float to other departments where they are qualified to work and may take on a patient load or perform task-oriented duties.

Required Certifications

• American Heart Association BLS
• ACLS
• PALS or ENPC
• TNCC
• Conscious Sedation Certification (obtained through the facility after confirmation)

Holiday Coverage

Holiday coverage is required as part of the position.
