Job Details

This role involves working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on high-quality imaging. The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing MRI procedures on various patient demographics, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The technologist will work independently in the department, with occasional support from an operations assistant.

Schedule

• Shift: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Wednesday to Friday, 17:00 to 05:30
• Daily caseload: Approximately 40 patients
• Call requirement: None
• Float requirement: None

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience
• Experience with a variety of MRI procedures, including but not limited to:
  • Abdomen
  • Pelvis
  • Head/Neck
  • Chest
  • Spine
  • Musculoskeletal
  • Diffusion (non-brain)
  • Gradient Echo Imaging
  • Image Post-Processing
  • Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP)
  • Multiplanar Reconstruction (MRP)
  • Perfusion
  • Peripheral Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy
  • Spin Echo Images
  • Surface Coils
  • T-1 & T-2 Weighted Images
• Experience in outpatient, inpatient, ER, community hospital, and adult ICU settings
• Knowledge of PACS and contrast administration

Certifications and Licenses

• Current BLS certification
• ARRT(R) or ARRT(MR) certification required

Unit and Equipment Specifics

• Work setting involves Siemens (Avanto and Sola) and GE Premier MRI equipment
• Unit systems in use: EPIC and Visage (PACS)

Orientation

Orientation will last for one week on the first shift to ensure the technologist is competent in working independently afterward.

Uniform Requirement

Scrubs: Royal blue tops and bottoms are required.
