We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Orthopedic unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedic care and be able to manage a diverse patient population.

Scheduling Details

• Shift Hours: Night shifts, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (6 weekend shifts required)
• Requests: All scheduling requests must be included with submission and will be accommodated upon approval.
• Call-Off Policy: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted
• Local Candidates: Accepted with a specified radius rule.
• Pending Licenses: Not accepted; must have an active South Carolina or multistate license.
• Charting Experience: 1 year of experience with EPIC required.

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Required Clinical Skills

• Must have experience in Orthopedics

Unit Details and Floating

• Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
• Unit Description: Adult 26-bed orthopedic spine unit specializing in spinal surgeries, including laminectomies, spinal fusions, and discectomies, with a focus on integrated pain management and mobility support.
• Patient Diagnoses: Med/Surg, Tele, cardiac issues, low-risk ACS, TIAs, diabetes, hypertension, COPD, dehydration, chest pain, DVT, and PE.
• Special Procedures: Bedside lumbar punctures, post-catheterization care (radial/femoral), post-surgical care, post-renal biopsies, CT Angiograms, and administration of Heparin drips.
• Floating Policy: Float to other units as needed, limited to areas where staff have documented competencies.
