Position Summary

The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process. This role involves working collaboratively with other healthcare team members to uphold professional nursing practice standards. The nurse carries out functions in alignment with hospital policies, the mission, and professional and regulatory practice guidelines, directing, coordinating, and delegating activities to foster patient and family-centered care.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
• Plan and implement nursing care based on individual patient and family needs.
• Execute appropriate interventions based on patient requirements.
• Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Assume personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, and professional development.

Shift and Weekend Requirements

This position may require working four 12-hour shifts with overtime after 48 hours or three 12-hour shifts with overtime after 40 hours. Weekend availability is required every other weekend.

Certification and Licensing Requirements

• Current BLS (AHA) certification.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certification.
• Active Michigan state nursing license at the time of submission.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of 3 years of experience in the Emergency Room is required. Candidates must possess either TNCC or ENPC certification.
