Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Guaranteed 40 hours per week.

No weekend or on-call requirements.

Job Description

This position is responsible for delegating tasks to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides. The role is centered on patient care and involves assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in alignment with physical therapy standards, physician directives, and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation: Assess the patient's functional status through various testing measures to evaluate skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular health.
• Treatment Planning: Develop a goal-oriented treatment plan based on assessment results and the patient's ability to adhere to the prescribed regimen.
• Plan Coordination: Submit a written treatment plan as part of the authorized treatment strategy in collaboration with the physician, and adjust the plan as necessary to reflect changes in patient condition.
• Scheduling: Create a treatment schedule that specifies frequency and duration, ensuring coordination with the patient and clinical support staff.
• Patient Education: Provide comprehensive education to patients, families, and caregivers on the patient's condition, available treatment options, anticipated outcomes, and the rationale for the chosen interventions, which may include rest, exercise, modalities, and other relevant treatments.

Qualifications

• Required experience as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting.
• Candidates must possess a valid Michigan Physical Therapist License.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Documentation of skills checklist relevant to Physical Therapy, current within the last year.
• Two completed supervisory reference forms within the last two years are required.
