This position entails providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities. The Registered Respiratory Therapist will conduct evaluations, administer life support, and educate patients and their families, adhering to established protocols or physician orders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cardio-pulmonary evaluations and provide respiratory care.
• Support inpatients and outpatients in accordance with physician recommendations.
• Administer life support and monitor patient respiratory status.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and care protocols.
• Work in various settings throughout the healthcare facility as needed.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Valid New York State Respiratory Therapy license.
• Associates degree from an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP.
• Experience in Labor and Delivery and Neonatal Resuscitation is required.
• Proficient in critical care respiratory practices.

Additional Requirements:

• Must have experience with EPIC, an electronic health record system.
• Completion of training from approved organizations (e.g., Welle or CPI) as required for onboarding and clearance.
• COVID vaccinations are encouraged but not mandatory.

Note: This role may require compliance with drug screening and additional training as defined by the employing agency. A thorough understanding of the cardiopulmonary system and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team is essential for success in this position.
