Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse to support our ports and injections clinic. This position offers flexibility in scheduling, with options for either four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts per week. If opting for four days a week, Fridays will likely be the designated day off.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments to patients in an outpatient setting.
• Manage and assess patient care related to oncology medications.
• Utilize IV skills to support patient treatment and ensure safe administration of medications.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
• Document patient interactions and treatment progress using electronic health records.

Qualifications

• Current certification in the ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy course is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in outpatient oncology or medical infusion is required.
• At least 1 year of outpatient nursing experience is required.
• Proficient in EPIC electronic health record system.
• Strong IV skills and experience.
• BLS certification is required.
• Only applicants with recent outpatient oncology/infusion experience and EPIC training will be considered.
