Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC). The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care while adhering to established protocols and practices.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the IMC environment.
- Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition.
- Perform telemetric evaluations and interpret dysrhythmias.
- Manage and treat dysrhythmias according to clinical guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Document patient care and interventions utilizing Cerner charting.
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
- Float to other units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed based on census fluctuations.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in PCU, DOU, IMC, or Stepdown units.
- Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment.
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
- Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
Work Schedule
- 3x12 Hour Day Shifts (07:00 - 19:30)
- Weekend Shifts: 10 shifts per contract
Additional Information
- Scrubs not provided; navy blue/white attire required.
- All employees are required to have the Flu vaccine.
