Position Information:

• Role: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech
• Department: OR and Supplies
• Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Position Requirements:

• Weekend and weeknight call rotation required
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Call Requirements: 3 weeknights per month & 1 weekend per month
• Required Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA and/or Certification Scrub Tech (NCCT)
• Years of Experience: 2
• Float Requirements: Float required

Unit Information:

• Number of Operating Rooms: 8
• Average Monthly Cases: 575
• EHR: Cerner

Patient Population:

• Focus on a diverse range of patients across various surgical specialties, including:
• Cardiac, Orthopedic, Gynecological, General Surgery, ENT, Urology, Plastics, Robotics, and Endoscopy

Required Skills and Experience:

• Vascular experience required
• Inpatient and Outpatient experience in a Level 2-3 Trauma environment
• Proficiency in Scrub, Aseptic Techniques, and a variety of surgical procedures including:
• General surgery, Orthopedic/Spine, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Thoracic, Bariatric, Plastics, Podiatry, and Robotics
• Specific procedures such as Abdominal Hysterectomy, Anterior/Posterior Repair, Bilateral Tubal Ligation, Dilation & Curettage, and Robotic Assisted Procedures

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with Trauma, Davinci XI robot, Mako robot, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Carotid Endarterectomy, and Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR)
• Additional preferred skills will align with advanced surgical techniques and emerging technologies.

Educational Requirements:

• Certification as a Scrub Tech is mandatory.

• Scrub color will be provided via a scrub dispenser.
