Position Overview

The PCU Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care for patients in a progressive care unit, ensuring high-quality patient management and intervention. This role requires critical thinking, strong nursing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Schedule

• Full-time opportunities available: 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Shift: Day shifts, 4x12-hour (07:00 - 19:00).
• Weekend rotation required.

Patient Care Ratios

The typical patient-to-nurse ratio ranges from 1:4 to 1:5, allowing for focused and personalized patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Experience with IV starts is mandatory.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are required.
• Meditech experience is required for charting.

Additional Information

• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted.
• No block schedules greater than 3 or 4 shifts can be accommodated.
• RTO (requests for time off) must be approved and documented prior to the start of the assignment.
• Free parking is available for all staff.
• Will float within scope to meet facility needs.

This role is within an acute care setting that holds a Level 3 Trauma designation and comprises 149 staffed beds, providing an opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Scrub Color

Staff are permitted to wear any color scrubs, with OR, L&D, and Cath Lab scrubs provided as needed.
