Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will be essential in providing high-quality nursing care to patients requiring intermediate-level care.
Schedule & Shifts
- Weekly Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week
- Shift: Day shift, with 12-hour shifts from 07:00 - 19:00
- Weekend Rotation: Required
- On-call: Not required
Nurse-Patient Ratios
The typical nurse-patient ratio in the PCU is 1:4-5, ensuring that you can provide adequate attention to each patient.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a PCU, including IV start competency
- ACLS and BLS certifications are required
- Charting experience required with Meditech
Floating & Scheduling Flexibility
- Float within scope to meet facility needs is expected
- No block scheduling greater than 3 or 4 shifts is available
Additional Information
- Open to local candidates within a 60-mile radius of the facility
- Requests for time off (RTO) must be approved and documented prior to assignment start
- Guaranteed hours are set at 40 hours per week
- Parking on-site is free
- Scrubs: Any color allowed; OR/L&D/Cath Lab scrubs are provided
